Dear friends,
On Sunday we finish our mini-series in the Psalms, the following week we join with our friends at St Peter’s.
A little word
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Rom 12.15 (NIV)
In the coming week we have two weddings and a funeral. Over the last couple of months we have had several baptisms too. It is a really good reminder that we are a church embedded in our community, This is a place where families come to mark significant moments. Whether they are happy or sad occasions, we are here for them. It is a privilege we should not underestimate. We had a meeting this week to put some details together for our Community Week that we are holding from 4/10-12/10. Mark it in your diary. There will be lots of different activities to engage with and invite people to. The aim is to recognise, celebrate and promote all that it means to be a church at the heart of our community.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for our community, and our place in it.
- For those families sharing joys and sorrows in our building in the coming week.
- For all those gearing up for the beginning of a new school year. Staff, pupils and especially new starters.
