Dear friends,
We continue our focus on God’s creation, inspiring awe and wonder, and thinking about our use and misuse of this precious resource we call home.
A little word
I was the skilled worker at the Lord’s side. I was filled with delight day after day. I was always happy to be with him. His whole world filled me with joy. I took delight in all human beings. Proverbs 8.30-31 (NIrV)
These words in Proverbs are the voice of ‘Wisdom.’ Interestingly it is a female voice, referred to as she/her, and in many circles is considered the voice of the Holy Spirit. Wisdom is there at creation joining in. Wisdom delights in all that God has made. Wisdom delights in all of humanity. Wisdom is the voice of reason, teaching us to treasure all that God has created as it brings us joy.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for the joy we experience in all we see in God’s beautiful world.
- For Bishop Leah as she starts her new ministry as the Bishop of Doncaster.
- For our PCC as they meet this week.

Christ Church Pitsmoor Community week

This is running from 4-12 October.
Mark it in your diaries, choose what to engage with, and think who you could invite to join in.
Care4Calais
People seeking asylum are often lacking everyday basics that we take for granted. Volunteers with Care4Calais meet at CCP every month to distribute essentials for people living in hostels. They also provide a friendly face and assistance.
As part of Pitsmoor Community Week (4-12 Oct) we are collecting toiletries to be given as gifts.
Please donate new, unopened shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser or soap.
There is a box at the back of the church and donations can also be received at the Harvest Cafe Church on 5th October.
Thank you for your generosity
