Reflect

Reflect is a contemplative space where all are welcome. No matter where you are in your journey.

At Reflect, we gather together once a week for an open, quiet and contemplative space. We are inspired by the teachings of Jesus but you don’t need to have any particular beliefs or religious affiliation to take part. We’re light on words and big on inclusion.

Each week of the month has a different theme to help us to focus on a different aspect of our spirituality: song, story, communion, soul and rest. You can find out more about each of those weeks below. Our service always starts at 7pm and lasts for around 45 minutes.

Week 1 – Song

We use songs from different spiritual traditions to help us to meditate on the teachings of Jesus. We often draw on music from the TaizĂ© and Iona communities. There’s always a period for silent reflection as well.

Weeks 2 & 4 – Meditation

We take part in a guided meditation centered around a story, theme, or our inner journey. The meditation will include some listening, some silence, and often reflective music as well.

Week 3 – Communion

Communion helps us to remember the story of Jesus and the bigger story that we are invited to take part in. Every third Sunday is a chance to take part in a quiet, simple communion service. Everyone is welcome.

Week 5 – Rest

In a busy world, it can be difficult to remember how to stop and just learn to be. There aren’t many fifth Sundays in the year, but when there are, we focus on resting well. Usually with some peaceful music.
