Dear friends,

Hopefully I’ll see you at some point over the next week, but can I say now a very Happy Christmas, and may 2026 be filled with hope and love.
A little word
The Son is the shining brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses his powerful word to hold all things together. Hebrews 1.3 (NIrV)
As we move from Advent to Christmas we focus on the birth of a baby. It is truly amazing to think that in that vulnerable bundle of joy lay the hopes and destiny of all of humankind. May you bask in that light and mirror that likeness.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for the message of Christmas; Good news, joy, peace, love.
- For Churches throughout the world striving to live out that message.
- For Peace and Love to flood our hearts, nation and world.

Pip’s announcement
I will be leaving my role as Vicar at Christ Church Pitsmoor next year and retiring from full-time ministry. My last Sunday will be Easter Sunday.
It has been a difficult decision to make, but it feels right. The last 8 years have been sometimes a challenge, often a pleasure, but always rewarding because of you, the people.
There is so much to build on here, we have got some good foundations, and I know you will support whoever comes after me. The Diocese will assist the team here in the transition.
Please pray for Ali & me as we get our heads around all that we need to do between now and Easter, and as we embark on this new phase of our life.
Coming up…
Maureen Fischer
Maureen passed away recently. We give thanks for her many years working as our Administrator and hold Nigel and Becky and the family in our prayers. A thanksgiving service will be on Saturday 10 January at 2pm at St Augustine, Endcliffe.
What’s on?
All the usual activities are taking a Christmas break and will be back in January.
