Dear Friends,
Do join in with our Lent course. People really appreciated it last week.
A little word
Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you that have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isaiah 55.1 (NRSV)
The OT is frequently reminding God’s people that they have not earned his favour and the NT that grace is a free gift. I guess we can never hear that too much. If we are tempted to arrogance or self-importance it will burst our bubble. But more than that it reminds us of the value of everyone. Are some of us more deserving than others? It also reminds me that God is the source of all things, which is why it is good to pause, appreciate that, and give thanks.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for God’s wonderful provision to all of us.
- For Archdeacon Malcolm as he leaves us to become the Bishop of Wakefield.
- For all those who preach and lead at our services, especially as they meet up this week.

This Week’s Headlines
Church & grounds
There are a number of jobs that need doing to finish getting the Church properly back to full running order. Jobs to sort all abilities. There are also some jobs in the grounds. eg pruning, trip to tip, sweeping, tidying and sorting, extra cleaning… If you could spare an hour, or a morning or afternoon find a friend and volunteer to Will. It would be lovely to do this before Bishop Pete’s visit, so volunteer now to get it done. Thanks
Funding news

We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Awards for All programme. This will enable us to fund a new Administrator. We are putting the finishing touches together before we advertise the post. Please pray for a successful outcome.
