Dear Friends,
Do join in with our Lent course. People really appreciated it last week.
A little word
“Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them. So shall your offspring be.” Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness. Genesis 15.5-6 (NIV)
This great promise to Abram seems fantastical. He is an old man, 75, and childless. And yet he believed God’s promise. I love those clear nights when you can see all the stars. They are indeed uncountable. They remind me of all Abrams children, because, as the New Testament reminds us, we are, by faith, children of father Abraham.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for God’s promises and those who trust them.
- For those working amongst the poor and marginalised at home and abroad.
- For our PCC, meeting on Monday.
