Weekly news for 9.3.25

Dear Friends,

We are now back in Church on Sundays!! Hope to see you at our Lent course.

A little word

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High and abides under the shadow of the Almighty, shall say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my stronghold, my God, in whom I put my trust.’ Psalm 91.1-2 (CW)

I don’t know if you have decided to give anything up for Lent? In a very small way it is a reminder of our dependence on God. Jesus highlights this in the wilderness temptations. The Psalmists often express that sense particularly when they are being hard pressed. Whether it is our daily needs, our prayer life or just strength to live, may this Lent be a time when we relearn to put our trust in God.

Things to pray for

  • Give thanks for those times we have experienced being under the shelter of God’s protection and provision.
  • For the team tasked with appointing our new Admin person – we have been successful with a grant
  • For those caught in debt and poverty.
