Dear Friends,
We are still meeting in the Welcome Centre for everything as the Church refurbishment continues.
A little word
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. James 2.26 (NIV)
This week we think of John the Baptist. John was the last of the Prophets, ushering in the Kingdom of God as the final herald before the Messiah. He called people to repentance and faith and baptised them as a mark of that. When asked what faith looked like he called them away from religiosity to a practical living out of the transformational values of the kingdom. So, how might your life this week be a visible sign of the faith within you? How will you be the words and actions of Jesus?
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for all those who have inspired us by their practical demonstrations of the love of Jesus.
- For Syria, that something good would emerge from the chaos.
- For organisations planning shelter and meals for the homeless.
