Dear Friends,
Here is the update for this week.
A little word
“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12.2-3 (NIV)
The call of Abram includes this blessing. Most of us would want to say that ultimately that universal blessing is fulfilled in Abram’s descendant Jesus. But long before Jesus incarnation, God’s people were told that their blessing was to become a blessing to others. Being blessed is something we share, not something we cling to. It has an outworking. I wonder what that means for us as a church, where we are?
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for the ways we can experience God’s blessing.
- For schools, pupils, families and staff as they break for the long summer holiday.
- For our fundraising and the logistics as we work to get the project started in the Autumn.

The total is quickly mounting, thank you everyone who has given so far. This week the Bay Horse gave us £500, you may have seen it on social media! Here’s a picture of some of the PCC receiving it and saying ‘Thank-You’.
Do share the news and campaign with friends and family.

Summer Services
Starting next week, after the schools have broken up, we will be in our Summer series. Instead of a ‘sermon’ we will have an interview, where we get to know better some of the faces we see at the front, and learn a bit of their story and what motivates them. I hope you enjoy it.
