Dear Friends
Here’s this week’s news.
A little word
And looking at those who sat around him, he said, ‘Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.’ Mark 3.34-35 (NRSV)
This reading came up this week. Jesus calls those who follow him brothers and sisters, family. The people of God, the Church, is/should be a family. We have a common bond; we share a heavenly father. Families are (hopefully) where we can be ourselves. They know us and accept us at our worst and best. And we stay family. We need to be a home and family for all, where all are welcome, and not cease in getting better at it.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for the family we belong to.
- For carers in homes, hospitals, and institutions.
- For young people getting exam results, as they go on to make choices as a result of them.

Mission Action Planning
MAPPING our Way
The Diocese has produced another MAP booklet – standing for Mission Action Planning. On Saturday 23 September, at 9.30, in Church.
We are going to meet for an intensive couple of hours to look at it and use it as a way of inspiring and guiding thoughts about our mission as a church. This is open to all of the church, and we’d encourage you to come along and share the process.
The MAP booklet can be found here:

It would help to have an indication of who is coming – can you message or email Huw (huwthomas75@googlemail.com) if you plan to be there?
