Dear Friends,
Here is the news for the coming week
A little word
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19.14 (CW)
Those of us of a certain age will remember these words from the Boney-M song ‘Rivers of Babylon’ which was a mash up of this line and lines from Psalm 137. You may also have heard it used as a prayer by preachers before they start. To me it speaks of the importance of our words and our motives being in harmony. Words are easy, but what we do and why say more. In a world filled with promises and empty words may we long to please God in all we say and all we do and think.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for those who inspire us in thought, word and deed.
- For those who bring relief and to the victims of natural and man-made disaster events.
- For everyone involved in our building restoration as it enters the last few weeks.

This Week’s Headlines
Café Church
On Sunday 2 February (next week!!) we are launching a Café Church style service. This will replace our current 1st Sunday of the month all-age worship slot. Our hope is this new style of worship will help us in our worship together as a church family. There will be refreshments throughout, and the church will be set up in the style of a café. Over the next few months as we try out Café Church, we would love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Flyers are available to give to people who might be interested. If you have any questions or want to find out more speak to Will or email him on will@pitsmoor.church.
