Dear Friends
Over the next few weeks, we will be thinking about some of God’s wonderful promises.
A little word
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5.9 (NIV)
The news this week has been shocking as has the name-calling and shouting from the sides. War is evil, an affront to humanity and God, and no cause justifies the killing of civilians.
So, I will be praying for peace.
The cycle of retribution and retaliation has to stop, and the voices of the peacemakers have to be heard. We are called to be like children, who it seems, are peacemakers and will be called Blessed.
So, I will be praying for peace.
Things to pray for
- For peace in Israel and Palestine, for the voices of peacemakers to be heard.
- For the families engaging with Stay & Play on a Wednesday.
- For the continuing work of ASSIST, as they celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Ian Parkinson is making great progress and in the next few days should be leaving hospital for a residential rehab unit. Please continue to pray, particularly for improvement to his sight, which has been damaged by the stroke.
