Dear Friends
It was great to picnic together last Sunday. Next week we can chat as we work in the church yard.
A little word
Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control. Prov 25.28 (NIV)
These days we are told to express ourselves, to be ourselves, which is good. But some level of self-control is also good. If we act as if we are the centre of the universe with no thought for others, then damage will be all around us. The pithy proverb above hints that it damages us too. If we act in haste without weighing up our thoughts and feelings, we will probably live to regret it. Living in step with the Spirit helps us to get it right.
