Weekly news for 29.5.22

Dear Friends

Why not join in with praying, Thy Kingdom Come, along with many others this week.

Do remember to check in to our facebook page or the website regularly for updates.

A little word

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.                              2 Tim 2.2

Teaching is in the DNA of God’s people. Here, Paul, having passed on the teaching to Timothy wants him to pass it on to others who will do likewise. We learn in different ways. By observing, by reading, by hearing and seeing, by doing. We may teach or learn in different ways, but the key thing is that we do it. Lifelong learning is a phrase many of us will be familiar with. It is no less true or necessary in our spiritual life than in our profession or hobby or whatever.

Things to pray for

  • Give thanks for those who have faithfully taught us and helped us grow
  • For the Church throughout the world praying – Thy Kingdom Come
  • For all those taking time off and celebrating next week.
