Weekly news for 9.1.22

Dear Friends

Happy New Year.

A little word

Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.                             Isaiah 60.1

This morning we celebrated the Epiphany in Church. Over the next few weeks, we will think about how Jesus is revealed. Isaiah wrote about it centuries before. If you have a moment, take a look at Isaiah 60. It speaks of light coming over the darkness. It speaks of others joining God’s people. We are the products of that promise, fulfilled in Jesus.

The visitors from the east were genuine seekers with unlikely credentials. Who are we to judge whom God might be calling? Let’s all be on the look out for where God is at work.

Things to pray for

  • Give thanks for the revealing of God’s love and grace to us
  • for all who seek to know God and make sense of the world
  • all the different activities we do or host at CCP
