Dear Friends
Do please also check in with the facebook page www.facebook.com/ccpitsmoor/ and website www.pitsmoor.church/ during the week as things do change!
A little word
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling-place for God. Ephesians 2.19-22
With nationalism on the rise around the globe the New Testament is a healthy antidote. Citizenship is not about birth right, or accident of birth, nor about something you can buy. Where we truly belong is all about to whom we belong. Christ as cornerstone; brothers and sisters as accompanying bricks; God dwelling in, amongst us.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for one another, together a spiritual home.
- for race relations and justice near and far. Action not just words.
- for our diocese: Bishops Pete & Sophie, Archdeacons Malcom & Javaid, Dioc Secretary Katie.
