A little word
I am the Lord; I act with steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord. Jeremiah 9.24
In our Lent course this week we were thinking about the Exodus. Moses had received a revelation from God as the ‘I Am’ and had been sent to rescue the people from slavery to freedom in the promised land. Something of God’s nature was revealed, and above, Jeremiah, writing as the exile in Babylon happened, reminds the people of who God is and why God is the only person or thing that can be truly trusted in.
When the chips are down a reminder of where we place our hope is always a welcome reminder.
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for things of eternal value, in which God delights.
- For the continuing and escalating situation in Burma/Myanmar, and for our friends with family links there.
- For our PCC, wardens, and clergy as they meet this week.

Mike’s bird boxes are up & Jemimah has volunteered to take care of feeding the birds… thanks you two. Derwent cleared all the ivy off the triangular bed, so if anyone with spare spring flower would like to pop them in there…that would be smashing!
