Weekly news for 30 Nov 2025

Dear friends,

Here is the news for this week.

A little word

the night is far gone, the day is near. Romans 13.12 (NRSV)

Welcome to Advent. Waiting, Hope, Expectation, Longing; these are some of the recurring words during advent. There is a real sense of anticipation. I hope and pray that you will be able to enter into this season with its change of pace, and take some time with God. This is Advent, Christmas will come soon enough, lets take a breath and connect, and rekindle that hope and expectation that is the foundation of our faith, that God is to be among us, and with us.

Things to pray for

  • Give thanks for those who can wait patiently.
  • For our deanery, for all the churches witnessing to Gods love in this bit of our city.
  • For the work of helping people in poverty, that they may have hope and dignity.
