Weekly news for 30.4.23

Dear Friends

A link to the APCM papers is included.

A little word

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures for ever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures for ever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures for ever.                   Psalm 136.1-3 (NIV)

This Psalm popped up in MP today. It reminds me of the constant need to be thankful, often for things we routinely take for granted. It also reminds me of the constant and eternal love of God.

An attitude of gratitude married with a reminder of God’s love for us and our need to mirror that is a great way to start the day.

Things to pray for

  • Take a moment to think of 10 things to give thanks for.

There has been a great response and the only posts we don’t have nominations for are Deputy Warden.

We will soon have a vacancy to fill as treasurer, but this isn’t elected at the annual meeting. We have a small team that looks after the finances, so you don’t have to do it all. If you have skills in numbers and IT, we would love to talk to you!

Christian Aid breakfast

To raise some money for the fabulous work of Christian Aid we will be serving breakfast from 10am on Sunday 14 May. Put it in your diary and set aside some money.

Church chairs

We have got four sample chairs to look at. Try sitting on them and picking them up. I would be interested in your thoughts. The fabric ones come in many colours so don’t be swayed by that alone.
