Dear Friends
We pick up again with our Five Marks of Mission theme this week.
Do remember to check in to our facebook page or the website regularly for updates.
A little word
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth. Deuteronomy 11.18-21
These instructions to God’s people, in a time when most could not read, are still helpful to us today. Being taught, or learning, works on lots of levels. Here, what God had to teach them, the law of love, was to be embedded in everyday life and relationships. We sometimes think of this as a Celtic spirituality, but it is much older. Do you have visual reminders? Are there habits or patterns that help you in your walk with God? How are you learning more of what it means to follow the Lord? Who are you passing it on to?
Why not spend a few minutes thinking how you would answer these questions I’ve just posed? And if you draw a blank, what might you want to change or start?

‘And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.’ (Eph. 6.18.)
Our CCP Prayer Board is to the left of the doors on the way to the kitchen.
Please write your requests for prayer on the tags (or reuse the old paper bits) and pin them to the board. Then read and pray!
Before you do post anything on the Prayer Board, please check with anyone whose name you have mentioned that … it is OK to mention their name! They need to remember that this is a public notice-board and that people might mention things posted on here in the Prayers of Intercession in our Services, which are live-streamed to the world.
Kathryn and Kate Thompson have over-sight of the board, so please talk to them if you want to know anything.
