Coronavirus & CCP
This is a very strange time for all of us – and as church it goes against our instinct to stop meeting together, especially in a time of crisis. Unfortunately, that’s what we are having to do. But we are trying to find other ways to support one another. On this page you’ll find some important information about that.
Services
9am Service (in person) – currently not running
Aimed especially at those who can’t access the on-line services. Please bring a face covering and hand cleanser. Numbers are limited, and it will take longer than usual to take your seat, so please be prompt.
10.30am Service (on Zoom)
We are continuing our on-line services for the foreseeable future. This is a new link and will be the same every week.

Keeping up
It is really important that we act responsibly. You might have the virus and be passing it on to others! It makes it very difficult to physically meet with anyone in one of the vulnerable groups and we are being strongly counselled to avoid meeting anyone if it is not essential. Instead of just email and text why not phone someone & talk, or if you can both cope use a video call. There are loads of different platforms and ways to do that.
WhatsApp Group
You can join our church WhatsApp group to stay in touch with other church members. Please email Ben to be sent an invite link to join.
Facebook Group
The facebook group is a bit like the WhatsApp group, it is a place for us to communicate as a wider community together online.
You can also join our Facebook group by going to https://www.facebook.com/groups/262646797156280/.
Facebook Page
Our Facebook Page will carry announcements and updates as we have them, as well as words of encouragement from Pip. You need to “Like” the page to see updates from us.
Foodbank
We are desperately trying to keep the Fir Vale foodbank at St Cuthbert’s functioning. It has now gone to a referral system, without general opening.
It is difficult to source food supplies. If you are able to pick up anything extra when you shop (generally tins, packets etc..) you can drop it on the vicarage doorstep. Thanks to those who already have.
A prayer for all those affected by coronavirus
Keep us, good Lord, under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious, be with those who care for the sick, and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may find comfort knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
