Dear Friends

A little word

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.                                 James 5:7 (NIV)

We live in a very immediate society. ‘I want it, and I want it now’! Electronic forms of communication mean we expect immediate answers to everything. The image of a slowly growing crop is a helpful reminder that sometimes things take time, and that God’s time is not necessarily our time. If we could all learn to be a little more patient and live in the moment that would be a good thing.

Things to pray for

  • Give thanks for those who are patient with us.
  • For families known to us who have been bereaved.
  • For Ukraine and all the parties involved, knowing that a lasting peace will need to be built.
