A little word
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have ordained, what is man, that you should be mindful of him; the son of man, that you should seek him out? You have made him little lower than the angels and crown him with glory and honour. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands and put all things under his feet Psalm 8. 4-7
The Psalmists often wrestle with that conundrum of how in the face of all the vastness of the universe we feel so insignificant, and yet at the same time we are known by, and can know, our creator.
As we digest once again the magnificent message of Easter, we are faced with similar complexities. Jesus took on and conquered all the sin and evil of the world, even death and decay; and at the same time, that cosmic rescue mission is personal to me.
As so many of the Easter hymns put it, our response is, Praise God. Hallelujah!
Things to pray for
- Give thanks for the way we can still meet the risen Jesus today
- For our Archbishops; speaking out prophetically for the kingdom.
- For our PCC. For new people to join our leadership team.

APCM
Please put the APCM date in your diaries. Sunday 8 May straight after the service.
We need to elect two Churchwardens and two deputy Churchwardens, these are annual elections. There are also a total of seven places on the PCC. (Four positions come up for a three year term each year, there are also three unfilled vacancies from last year).
Please be thinking and praying about who might stand for those positions. Nomination forms with all the details about who can stand are on the welcome desk.
